Are You A Slave?
Ever since I was a kid, I wondered why God didn’t speak audibly to me like he did in the Bible. After expressing this thought to some of my friends, I started thinking about the times that God has spoken to me in my life. God talks to me through the Bible, and he has used other people, things, and circumstances for encouragement or rebuke. There were also a few times when he SPOKE to me—I did not audibly hear him, but in those moments, I absolutely knew that the thought came from God.
It can be difficult to obtain lasting contentment and fulfillment, especially when we fall for the lies, false promises, and “mud pies” of the world.
In 2013, I was breastfeeding my first child and I had classical signs of a breast infection (mastitis)—extreme fatigue, fever, swelling, and pain in the breast. A reputable medical site said that antibiotics were the only treatment for mastitis. I wanted to avoid taking antibiotics because I was breastfeeding, and because they make me nauseous (I also learned later that they can be terrible for gut health), so I started searching for natural alternatives. I found a blog that recommended echinacea, oranges, and other natural treatments to boost the immune system. Echinacea and oranges did the trick—I felt better in less than 24 hours! Echinacea—a pretty flower classified as an herb—can provide many benefits for your health. Here are just three of them.
Are you content with the life that you have right now? Do you want the best that God has for you? If you keep doing what you are doing now, what will your life look like one year from now? Five years from now?
Happy New Year! Every year, month, week, day, and even minute can mean a clean slate for you. We don't have to stay stuck. God is not done with you. He has created you for amazing things!

Thanks, Hilary! Do you mean it doesn’t show up in WordPress Reader? I don’t think that the new site will show up there anymore, right? It’s a wordpress.org site now.

What does that mean for your followers though? If it only shows up on .org, do .org users have access to the same reader, or is it completely different for them? Sorry if I’m not making any sense.

I think it’s different. I should probably figure that out. Hahahaha!

Indeed. Definitely check to see if there is a WP reader and a following. If not, it would help to link your new website to this one so we can still get updates 🙂
